This year's Gala promises to be a fantastic event as it will be the first gala dinner after the Covid-19 pandemic. We will also celebrate The Malaysia-Australia Colombo Plan Commemoration (MACC) Scholarship's 20th Anniversary. Apart from the art of culinary prepared by the JW Marriott Hotel Kuala Lumpur and the free flow of Australian wine, it will be an evening of fun-filled entertainment. The MAAC together with the Australian High Commission, will again be presenting the 2022 Australian Alumni Awards, namely the Distinguished Alumni Award; Young Distinguished Alumni Award; Young Entrepreneur Award; Community Achievement Award; the Alumni Chapter Award and a new award for Female Alumnus of the Year.

Our Grand Raffle Prize this year is a trip for 2 to Australia sponsored by Qantas Airways and a 2-night stay for 2 at the Opera Room Suite in Sydney Harbour Marriott Hotel. Other raffle prizes are up for grabs, including a luxury Miu Miu handbag for the ladies.

The Gala will be graced by His Excellency, Dr Justin Lee, the Australian High Commissioner to Malaysia and other prominent officials from the Australian High Commission. The Gala is a preeminent social and networking event with more than 300 guests and it is expected to sell out as it did the previous years.
