Electrical Metallic Tubing EMT Smartube | Steel Conduit Pipe for Dry Location and Indoor Southern Steel Pipe Smartube

20+
Electrical metallic tubing (EMT) is a lightweight, thin wall steel raceway of the circular cross-section. It is designed to protect as well as route electrical wiring in a wide array of settings. EMT does not have any threading and is usually provided in 10- and 20-foot nominal lengths. The exterior surface is galvanized for corrosion resistance, while an organic coating lines the interior for rust prevention.
EMT is primarily used for the protection of electric wiring in dry locations. It may be used indoors and outdoors, and it is the most common conduit type used in most commercial and industrial installations and even residential installations. The EMT can be set-screw or compression-type coupled and connected. It is, therefore versatile enough to satisfy a wide range of installation requirements in numerous electrical systems.
