ThermoPlus | Interior Thermal Insulation Ceramic Coating SICC Climate Active Paint

ThermoPlus is an interior thermal insulation ceramic coating that is commonly used for indoor application. In hot days most rooms heat up strongly by intensive sunbeams. That influences the concentration, breathing, and a good night's sleep. In cold days, on the other hand, many people, despite increased heating, have the typical cozy feeling: a hot head and cold feet. The interior thermal insulation ceramic coating ThermoPlus from our ClimateActivePaint® product range provides a pleasant interior climate on every day of the year – regardless of the weather outside.

The surface-active interior finish contains tiny small ceramic bubbles (Microspheres) and this creates a thermal ceramic membrane after application. During the hot days the membrane takes the excess moisture from the air, stores it and compensates the drier room air at a later stage with this moisture (Entropy principle). This results in evaporation coolness which both cools the wall surfaces, as well as lowers the high room temperatures.

In winter when there’s low humidity the thermal ceramic coating takes heat energy and divides this evenly in its membrane without passing it to the wall behind it (SF-technology *). The increased surface temperature now provides a reflection of energy in the short-wave infrared range (IR-reflection). Convection currents and thermal bridges are minimized and avoid dust movement and the formation of mold. As a result – even for people with an allergy or asthma – a pleasant indoor climate is created. Throughout the year, the coating ensures, due to its physical properties, a relative humidity of app. 55%. In general, this is considered as most pleasant.

The coating contains no semi-volatile organic compounds such as plasticizers, organic solvents or isothiazolinones. During or after processing, no harmful health or allergy irritant particles or fumes are released.

ThermoPlus is used for surface preparation such as Raw plaster surfaces, replastering spots:
clean, flute and prime with ClimateActive FixPlus;
Concrete- und Fiber-cement: clean and in particular remove rests of mold release agents and prime with ClimateActive FixPlus;
Wood: Prime with NaturePrimer;
Synthetics:
analyze the ability of adhesion;
Metals: depending on metal and strain, prime with ClimateActive RustPrimer or ClimateActive ZincPrimer;
Non-workable previous coating: depending on the coating, remove by washing, acid cleaning;
Adhesion-interfering surfaces: wash, buck, grind

ThermoPlus is possible to be applied in all rooms, and it is also very suitable for public places. ThermoPlus is a resistant internal coating suitable for use on almost all internal surfaces. The special composition of ThermoPlus provides a wide range of energetic application areas for thermal shielding both in summer and in winter. The product can be applied by brush, paint roller or spraying method. ThermoPlus is supplied ready for use. In case of application via spraying equipment, instructions of the equipment manufacturer have to be followed. The product consistency for application on very rough surfaces or by use of spraying equipment can be regulated by adding little water. During application, it is important to maintain the minimum film forming temperature (+5°C). This applies equally to the drying period. Sufficient daylight promotes the drying of the UV-cross-linked binding agent. Stir with a stirring gear before application or after long interruptions of work. Allow a drying period of 6 hours between two individual coats. ThermoPlus can be applied to all sound, clean, dry,
rust-free and grease-free surfaces such as metals, woods, synthetics, foamed plastics, textiles, synthetic fibers, concrete, old and new plasters and intact previously painted surfaces. A permeable
surface is recommended in order to guarantee energetic features.
