• Aggregate

Construction Aggregate is one of the most commonly used construction material and most mined mineral in the world. The material mentioned can either be extracted from quarry including limestone, granite, marble, gravel, sand, quarry dust, quarry waste and etc.. or it can substitute with recycled material like the construction waste, brick, concrete, asphalt road, glass, etc. The major difference between extracted aggregate and recycle aggregate is the strength and cost. Extracted aggregate usually has a greater bonding strength than the recycle aggregate which is why the cost is higher and often use in a load-bearing component like Cast-in-situ concrete pile. However, using a fully Cast-in-situ concrete pile will result in a high-cost production and resources waste so that's why a green concrete that made from recycled aggregate is used to provide a basic concrete foundation and the rough foundation ( concrete using extracted aggregate ) will then be used in a minimal amount. It is usually given a different name to specify the material, shape, and size of the aggregate. Construction aggregate has a wide range of applications in construction. The usage includes concrete, precast, asphalt, subbase for roads, aqueduct, garden and many more. The material is usually be extracted or obtained from a quarry or construction waste and its price is usually determined by the transport type and the distance of travel. So in order to ensure its economic value, the transport used are usually truck and train. That's why aggregate development is spread throughout the world and is usually supplied locally.
